The September edition of WG: Williamsburg Greenpoint News + Arts features our book, The Cosmological Eye by Henry Miller.
Trivia fact: that is our founder James Laughlin’s (cosmological) eye on the book’s cover.
Trivia fact: The Cosmological Eye was also featured in the Bergman film, Three Strange Loves.
Of Three Stranges Loves, Laughlin said: “This is an important film because it has my eye in it. Two lovers are arguing in the compartment of a train. Three or four times the camera flashes to a book one of them has been reading which is lying on the seat. What does the camera see? It sees my eye, which is the artwork for the jacket of our edition of Henry Miller’s The Cosmological Eye… What did Bergman see in my eye? I wrote to ask him, but he didn’t answer.” (taken from Laughlin’s wonderful The Way It Wasn’t)
